LUCENA CITY — Due to rough sea conditions, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) suspended trips of small vessels in the northern part of Quezon province since Saturday afternoon, Jan. 4.

In an advisory issued Sunday morning, Jan. 5, the PCG in northern Quezon based in Real town, cited the 5 a.m. forecast by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) that “strong to gale force winds associated with the northeast monsoon are prevailing.”
