LUCENA CITY — Two fetuses and a dead baby boy were found in Cavite, Batangas, and Rizal provinces on Dec. 14, police said on Sunday.
The Region 4A police reported that two motorcycle riders, who were repairing their vehicle, found a foul-smelling wrapped parcel dumped on the roadside in Barangay (village) Sabang in Naic, Cavite around 7:30 a.m.
Out of curiosity, the riders opened the parcel and discovered a fetus, believed to be seven to eight months old. They immediately reported it to the local police station.
In Lipa City, Batangas, a food cart vendor noticed a bulky black backpack on the roadside in Barangay Mataas na Lupa around 2:30 p.m.
When he opened the backpack, he saw a bloodied fetus wrapped in a cloth. The vendor reported the incident to the police.
The sex of the fetuses was not specified in the police report.
Meanwhile, a villager found an abandoned dead baby boy on a bridge along NHA Avenue in Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo City, Rizal around 6:30 a.m. The body was wrapped in a towel inside a bag.
The infant was taken to a funeral home and later buried in the local cemetery.
Authorities are reviewing security camera footage in the areas to identify the person or people behind the dumping of the fetuses and the infant.
