All PUVs to be tagged
THE METROPOLITAN Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has ordered operators of public utility vehicles (PUV) to print the license plate of their units on the roof and sides of the vehicles. In a statement, MMDA Chair Francis Tolentino said the agency resolution on the tagging of all PUVs which was signed Friday last week gave operators of city and provincial buses, jeepneys, taxis and school and tourist buses three months to comply with the directive. He added that those who fail to do so would have their vehicles tagged as out-of-line or colorum and face the penalty of having their franchise cancelled or suspended by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board. 1 dead in QC shooting
A TEENAGER was killed while two more were wounded, including a 12-year-old boy, in a drive-by shooting in Quezon City before dawn Sunday. Police Officer 3 Jaime Jimena of the Quezon City Police District said Mark Daniel Galarvez, 19, was in a computer shop at 1:30 a.m. Sunday when a masked man strafed the establishment in Barangay (village) Holy Spirit. Teen killed in Manila
A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was shot dead by members of a rival gang the other day as he was hanging out with his friends in Malate, Manila, a report from the Manila Police District Homicide section showed. The attackers of Jose Paul Tadeo, a resident of F. Muñoz Street, were identified as boys aged 17 to 20, all members of the West Tuazon Gang. Case investigator PO3 Giovanni V.
