Boy ‘shoots’ trike driver
A TRISIKAD driver was wounded in another shooting involving a minor in barangay Ermita, Cebu City.
Police are looking for a 16-year-old boy who accidentally shot Mervin Belarde, a 37-year-old trisikad driver from sitio Ginabsan, barangay San Nicolas, Cebu City.
Police said Belarde was talking with friends by the road when the boy arrived playing with a gun past 7 p.m. last Friday.
Belarde warned the boy not to play with the gun because he could injure someone.
Police said the boy ignored the warning and continued playing with the revolver until it went off, hitting Belarde in the left side of the face.
The trisikad driver was brought to the Cebu City Medical Center and was already declared out of danger by doctors, said police.

TANOD KILLED
A TANOD in barangay Ipil, Carmen town, northern Cebu, was shot dead by an unidentified assailant last Friday afternoon.
Danilo Leniso suffered gunshot wounds in the different parts of the body.
Police said Leniso was in his farm when heavy rain poured.
Leniso took shelter in an abandoned house where an unidentified man shot him repeatedly.
Relatives and neighbors brought the tanod to the Danao District Hospital but he did not make it alive.
Six empty shells and two slugs of a .45 caliber were found in the crime scene.
Police said investigation to identify the gunman and determine the motive in the killing is in progress./CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
