SUV motorist gets a ticket for using Edsa bus lane, claims to be a cop
MANILA, Philippines — Operatives of the Department of Transportation – Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (DOTr-SAICT) issued a ticket to a motorist who claimed to be a cop.
The motorist made the claim after he was questioned for passing through an exclusive bus lane along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) on Thursday.
In a report on Thursday evening, the SAICT said the driver of the sports utility vehicle (SUV) attempted to run over several of its operatives but failed.
Then, the driver identified himself to the operatives as a “police officer for the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).”
