Ginebra-Meralco game on June 2 expected to go down-the-wire, fans told to buy tickets early
All is set for the first of only five out-of-town games of the 37th PBA Governors’ Cup pitting the Barangay Ginebra Kings and the Meralco Bolts on June 2 at the Hoops in Lapu-Lapu City.
Organizers are urging basketball fans to buy their tickets early since the game will feature crowd-favorite Ginebra and Meralco, a team also known for its never-say-die attitude.
Ginebra and Meralco are off to a good start in the conference.
The Kings opened the tournament with a, 103-85 trashing of the Air21 Express, while the Bolts posted a, 105-99 triumph over the Talk N Text Tropang Texters.
Tickets for the upcoming game can be bought at RC Goldline outlets in SM City-Cebu, Gaisano Country Mall, E-Mall, The Old Spaghetti House and at the Hoops Dome.
Ticket prices are pegged at P1,000 (courtside, reserved seats), P800 (lower box, reserved seats but on a per section basis), P500 (upper box, reserved seats but on a per section basis) and P150 (general admission, free seating).

The PBA returned to Lapu-Lapu last March 24 where the Tropang Texters played against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
Meanwhile, the Barako Bull Energy handed the Powerade Boosters their second straight loss, 106-101 last night at the Araneta Coliseum.
Jamine Peterson scored a game-high 33 points and grabbed 22 rebounds to lead the Energy’s auspicious start in the season-ending tournament.
Gary David had 25 markers and Rashad McCants had 23 for the Tigers, which slid to 0-2 (win-loss).
