Jumapao rules BTA monthly keg

MULTI-AWARDED bowler Jomar Jumapao showed impeccable pintoppling skills to dominate the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA)-PRIMA monthly tournament held last Sunday at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad.

The 21-year old Jumapao, a former member of the national Juniors Team, finished the six-game competition with 1,243 pinfalls capped by a 257 performance in Game 4.

Samantha Lagcao claimed runner-up honors just three pins from Jumapao (1,240) and scored the highest final game total of 215 pinfalls.

Rounding off the top three was Samantha’s father Alexander with 1,218 pinfalls including a 248 in the third game.

Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association’s (CETBA) veteran lady bowler Vivian Padawan landed in fourth spot with 1,201 pinfalls while Vivian’s son Aui, a junior bowler of CETBA settled in fifth place with 1,200 pinfalls.

Completing the top 10 are Clarence Tiu (1,189), Gj Buyco (1,189 but with a smaller average), John Gasataya (1,188), Bel Suelto (1,177) and CETBA’s future star bowler Heber Alqueza (1,170).

Occupying the 11th to 15th places were Dante Calipay (1125), Wilbert Yu (1109), Xyrra Cabusas (1064), BTA president Bede Llano (1037) and Luke Bolongan (996). /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
