THE Green Team reclaimed the solo lead after crushing White, 103-93, Thursday night in the ongoing elimination round of the 3rd Major Alfonso Abbariao Cup-2012 Biggest Loser basketball tournament at the Benedicto College gym.
Green took hold a single-digit lead in the first three periods but outscored White, 28-22 in the fourth to seal the 10-point win.
Rizan Herbito and Noel Medalle led Green with 35 and 33 points, respectively while Ronan Cañete and pointgurar Kenneth Maningo paced former leader White with 22 and 20 markers.
Earlier, the Blue Team crushed Red, 82-72.
The game was close in the first half but Blue outscored Red in the third, 26-11 for an 11-point advantage, 64-53, going to the final quarter.
The win tied Blue’s record with Red at 5-7.
Ferdie Laraga and Mamasao Capalan paced Blue with 20 and 18 points, respectively, while Chito Manahan and Collector Ronnie Silvestre added double figures each.
Jojo Quiño and Bong Mabalo led Red with 22 and 17, respectively.
