MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4 earthquake hit a municipality in Occidental Mindoro on Monday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
Phivolcs said in a bulletin that the tectonic earthquake struck west of Abra De Ilog, Occidental Mindoro at 11:27 a.m.
It had a depth of 103 kilometers, the state seismologist added.
As of writing, Phivolcs has yet to record and report the intensities of the tremor.
The state seismologist, however, said the earthquake is not expected to cause damage or aftershocks.
