MAN HURT IN MANDAUE STABBING

A 24-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed and wounded by a teenager after they argued in barangay Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City.

Phroel Alonso, a resident of barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu, sustained two stab wounds in the abdomen.

The suspect, Niño Alcoseba, 18, also from Gun-ob, surrendered to the police after the incident.

Police said Alcoseba confronted Alonso last Thursday afternoon after the victim allegedly mauled the suspect’s girlfriend.

The argument escalated when Alcoseba drew a knife and started attacking Alonso.

WOMAN CHARGED FOR STABBING NEIGHBOR

A 57-YEAR-OLD housewife is facing a frustrated murder case after she stabbed and wounded her neighbor in barangay Mantuyong, Mandaue City.

Charged before the Mandaue City Prosecutors’ Office was Patrocinia Baloro, who surrendered to the police last Tuesday, two days after she attacked Elena Amoco, 58, with a knife.

Police said the two women had several misunderstandings and figured in a heated argument last Saturday afternoon.

The two women were pacified by their husbands.

Minutes after they were pacified, Arnoco passed in front of the house of the Baloros when she was stabbed by the suspect in the stomach.

Baloro fled, while Amoco was taken to the Mandaue City Hospital.
