MANILA, Philippines — Bishop Teodoro Buhain Jr., Manila Archdiocese’s retired auxiliary bishop, died in San Juan City on Wednesday morning.
According to a report by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) News, the 87-year-old retired bishop passed away around 11 a.m. at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City.
Buhain was 66 when he resigned in 2003, the CBCP said.

Before his retirement, Buhain served as a priest and bishop for 63 years and 41 years, respectively.
He was ordained as a priest of the Archdiocese of Manila in 1960.
