MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4 earthquake struck a Davao Occidental town on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In a bulletin, Phivolcs said the earthquake was located east of Balut Island and occurred at 1:50 p.m.
The tremor was tectonic in origin and had a shallow depth of 16 kilometers.
Phivolcs said that no damages and aftershocks were expected.
