LTO deploys over 400 enforcers to NCR for Undas 2024
MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Wednesday said it deployed 458 enforcers to Metro Manila to manage the anticipated surge in travelers and vehicles during All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day or Undas.
According to LTO-NCR Regional Director Roque Verzosa III, the measure aims to mitigate the risk of accidents due to increased traffic volume.
“During this period, the LTO-NCR and other agencies work tirelessly to facilitate safe travel operations. They manage checkpoints, inspect vehicles, and coordinate efforts to reduce traffic accidents, ensuring a safe journey for families honoring their loved ones,” Verzosa said in a statement.
Earlier this week, the LTO-NCR inspected the roadside, terminal facilities, and vehicles to verify their roadworthiness, Verzosa said.
“As strong road safety advocates, the agency has also apprehended violators, generating significant revenue since the operation’s commencement,” he added.
