Pagasa: Heavy rainfall to persist over Zambales, Bataan
MANILA, Philippines — Zambales and Bataan were forecast to still experience heavy rainfall on Friday afternoon due to Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami).
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 11 a.m. rainfall warning advisory that Zambales and Bataan are placed under yellow rainfall warning.
Areas under a yellow rainfall warning are likely to see between 7.5 mm and 15 mm of rain, which can trigger flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

Pagasa also said that Kristine is about to exit the Philippine area of responsibility as its last location was marked at 255 kilometers (km) west-northwest of Bacnotan, La Union, or 255 km west-southwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.
Article continues after this advertisementKristine kept its strength of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) maximum wind speeds and up to 115 kph gustiness while moving west-northwestward at 15 kph.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said light to moderate with occasional heavy rains may continue to persist within three hours in the following areas:
- Tarlac
- Nueva Ecija
- Pampanga
- Bulaan
- Metro Manila
- Rizal
- Cavite
- Batangas
- Laguna
- Quezon
