Number coding scheme suspended on Friday, October 25
MANILA, Philippines — The implementation of the number coding scheme will be suspended on Friday, October 25 due to Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said on Thursday.
“The implementation of the Expanded Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or number coding scheme remains suspended tomorrow, October 25 (Friday) due to the continuous downpour brought by #KristinePH,” MMDA said in its advisory.
Metro Manila was placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No.1 and it was also expected to experience heavy rainfall on Thursday night.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in its 5 p.m. bulletin that Kristine was last spotted over the waters of Santa Lucia, Ilocos Sur.

It was slowly moving westward while still packing up wind speed of 95 kilometers per hour (km/h) and gustiness of up to 145 km/h.
