3 missing in Sorsogon amid Kristine onslaught

SANTA MAGDALENA, Sorsogon—Three people have been reported missing as Tropical Storm Kristine unleashed heavy rains across Sorsogon province, Governor Edwin Hamor announced in a press conference at the provincial operations center on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Hamor said two fishermen went missing in Casiguran town, while a driver disappeared in Irosin town.
“We cannot declare them as casualties yet because they haven’t been found. We’re still unsure if anything bad has happened,” Hamor clarified.
Further details on the missing individuals were not disclosed.
Raden Dimaano, head of the provincial disaster risk reduction and management office, added that Sorsogon currently has “zero casualties.”
