Kristine to make landfall in Isabela on Wednesday night – Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines – Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami) will make landfall in Isabela on Wednesday night, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in its 11 a.m. bulletin on Wednesday said Kristine will intensify into a severe tropical storm before making landfall.
Pagasa also said the storm will weaken as it crosses the mountainous terrain of northern Luzon and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Friday, October 25. It may reintensify over the West Philippine Sea.

Kristine’s center was last located 200 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora, moving northwestward at 30 km per hour and maintaining maximum sustained winds of 85 kph, Pagasa said.
Pagasa earlier warned of storm surges from 2.1 to 3.0 meters in height in parts of Aurora, Cagayan, Isabela, and Quezon; and from 1.0 to 2.0 meters in height in parts of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Ilocos Norte, llocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and Zambales.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council on Wednesday morning reported that 382,302 persons were affected by the storm.
