Fuel prices to increase nearly P3 a liter starting Oct 15
Big adjustments in the prices of fuel are set to take effect from Tuesday, October 15, with nearly P3 per liter jump from last week’s costs.
In separate advisories, Shell Pilipinas and Seaoil said the per-liter price of diesel would go up by P2.70, The per-liter prices of gasoline and kerosene would also be more expensive by P2.65 and P2.60, respectively.
DOJ to build drug war case on House report
The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Sunday said it would start a preliminary investigation and case buildup on the killings of high-profile individuals during the drug war of former President Rodrigo Duterte after the House of Representatives referred its committee report on the matter.
Justice Undersecretary Raul Vasquez said in a Viber message to reporters that the DOJ could also initiate the preliminary investigation when somebody files a complaint against those responsible.
Bong Go denies drug war rewards system, involvement in ops
Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, who was special assistant to then president Rodrigo Duterte, denied any involvement in the operations of the police during the previous administration’s brutal anti-drug campaign.
The senator said in a statement Saturday, “I have no participation whatsoever, directly or indirectly, in the operational requirements of the war on drugs.”
