MANILA, Philippines—Employees of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals on Wednesday heard a mass for the speedy recovery of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

Corona has been confined at the ICU of Medical City Hospital in Pasig City since shortly after midnight Tuesday while being treated for a possible heart attack.

“We also urge the public not to pass on judgment on the Chief Justice,” Guerrero said, adding there were reasons behind the chief magistrate’s actions on Tuesday.

Corona left the Senate in a wheelchair Tuesday after testifying before the Senate, which is trying him for, among others, allegedly misdeclaring his statement of assets and liabilities (SALN).
