MANILA, Philippines — First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos on Thursday took her oath as a member of the Philippine Constitution Association (Philconsa).
The First Lady took her oath before Philconsa Chairperson, former Chief Justice Reynato Puno at the Ceremonial Hall in Malacañan Palace as the association celebrated its 63rd founding anniversary.
Other new members who took their oath were former Chief Justice Teresita de Castro and Michelle Lazaro, who will serve as Philconsa’s secretary-general.
Among those who witnessed the oath-taking ceremony was Liza’s husband, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.
Founded in 1961, Philconsa is a non-stock, non-partisan organization which aims to defend, preserve and protect the Constitution which serves as the fundamental law of the land.
