Deaf advocacy group receives aid

/ 07:16 AM May 23, 2012

A P10,000 check was donated by the Save a Life Today Inc. (Salti) to Gualandi Volunteer Service Programme Inc. (GVSP).

Gualandi representatives John Paul Maunes and Rey Mangayao received the check from Salti executive director Ma. Rosario Sanchez.

The assistance was the result of the “Summer ni Juan, a fashion show for a cause,” a fund-raising event organized by Salti to help the GVSP for their program on television news interpreting and the advocacy on Filipino sign language and deaf culture, deaf education and deaf child sexual abuse prevention.

The GVSP thanked Salti for choosing them as their beneficiary.
