MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to bring rain in parts of Northern Luzon, while the rest of the country will have “improved” weather, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday.
In a morning forecast, Pagasa said Tropical Depression Igme no longer has any direct effect in the country after it exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday.

(The tropical depression we are monitoring outside the PAR was last spotted at 535 km north-northwest of Itbayat, Batanes. This is Igme. It has no more direct effect in our country and currently, it will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon or habagat.)
(Meanwhile, the country’s weather is improving except for the chance of isolated showers caused by localized thunderstorms.)
Castañeda likewise reported that Pagasa has not monitored any weather disturbance that may affect the country over the next few days.
Despite this, a gale warning was raised in the following areas due to habagat:
Batanes
Babuyan Islands
Ilocos Norte
Ilocos Sur
