Palawan town election officer, wife found dead

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — The election officer of Agutaya, Palawan and his wife were found dead inside their residence on Saturday morning, according to the police.
The victims were identified as Emmanuel Gacott and wife Frennie. Their bodies were found by a neighbor in Barangay (village) Cambian at 8:30 a.m., the Agutaya police said.

The couple’s cause of death is yet to be determined but a police report stated that the election officer was found inside the bedroom lying in a prone position while his wife was found in the kitchen with blood on her head.
Based on initial investigation, robbery may be the motive behind the killing.
