MANILA, Philippines — An alleged former member of “Angels of Death,” reportedly the armed followers of preacher Apollo Quiboloy, is now under the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo revealed in a press conference on Friday that:
“We have an individual saying he was a former alleged member of the ‘Angels of Death’.”

Quiboloy allegedly warned victims — some as young as 12 to 13 years old — that a member of the dreaded armed group would get them if they broke the code of secrecy regarding his alleged sexual crimes, according to Fajardo.
Atty. Israelito Torreon, legal counsel of the Quiboloy-organized Kingdom of Jesus Christ, previously denied the allegations related to the death group.

Testimonies of former KJC members, who were still minors when purportedly exploited by Quiboloy, bared alleged deaths involving the sect’s Angels of Death, prompting the police to look into the supposedly armed organization.
Quiboloy, who is currently detained at the PNP’s custodial center in Camp Crame, Quezon City following his capture in Davao City on September 8, is facing charges of sexual abuse, child abuse, and human trafficking before the Quezon City and Pasig City courts.
