MANILA, Philippines — Class suspensions were imposed in several areas nationwide for Tuesday (September 17) due to inclement weather brought by Tropical Depression Gener and the southwest monsoon or habagat.
Below is the list of areas that suspended classes in both public and private schools:
- Infanta, Quezon (Preschool to Senior High School)
- Candelaria, Zambales (Preschool to Senior High School)
- San Marcelino, Zambales (Work and classes at all levels)
- San Felipe, Zambales (Preschool to Senior High School)
- Botolan, Zambales (Preschool to Senior High School)
- Pangasinan (All levels)
- Concepcion, Tarlac (Elementary to High School)
Based on its latest update, Pagasa said that Gener may likely make landfall over the vicinity of Isabela or Aurora by Monday night or Tuesday morning.

Gener is moving closer to Northern Luzon mainland at 15 kilometers per hour (kph). It was last monitored 240 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City in Cagayan, packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center, and gusts of up to 70 kph.

- The northern portion of Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Real) including Polillo Islands
