Trillanes to run for Caloocan mayor
MANILA, Philippines — Former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV on Saturday formally announced his candidacy for Caloocan mayor in the 2025 elections.
Trillanes, who took his oath as a member of Aksyon Demokratiko in July this year, made the announcement during the mass oathtaking of the new members of the Magdalo party list in Caloocan.

In a message to the Inquirer, Trillanes, who is returning to politics six years after his term as senator ended in 2019, will announce his running mate next week.
A former Navy officer, he graduated cum laude from the Marilag Class of 1995 of the Philippine Military Academy in Baguio City. —Nestor Corrales
