MANILA, Philippines — Detained Pastor Apollo Quiboloy will be alone inside the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame in Quezon City once his four co-accused get transferred to the Pasig City Jail.
This was among the reasons his legal counsel was seeking to file a motion for reconsideration of the commitment order released on Friday by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 159. The order directs the transfer of Jackielyn Roy, Ingrid Canada, Cresente Canada, and Sylvia Cemanes from the PNP Custodial Center to the Pasig City jail.

“The pastor will have no one with him there,” Mark Tolentino, Quiboloy’s legal counsel, said in Filpino an ambush interview in front of the custodial facility.
“I feel sorry for the pastor because, once their transfer pushes through, he will be left here alone,” he added.
Tolentino said they were trying to hold the transfer of Quiboloy’s four co-accused, which was still being processed as of Friday afternoon.

He also noted that, once their motion gets filed, it would stop the implementation of the Pasig RTC commitment order.
However, Quiboloy’s camp was still in the process of filing the motion as of this posting.
Earlier, the Pasig RTC also saw Quiboloy and five of his subordinates — including Paulene Canada who was arrested since July — pleading not guilty to human trafficking during their arraignment there.
The six suspects also pleaded not guilty to child abuse cases before the Quezon City RTC in their other arraignment there.
