Quiboloy pleads not guilty to child abuse charge
MANILA, Philippines — Detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy pleaded not guilty to a child abuse charge before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) on Friday.
Earlier in the day, Quiboloy also entered a not guilty plea for his qualified human trafficking cases filed at the Pasig RTC.
It was the first time that he appeared personally in court.
Meanwhile, the arraignment at the Quezon City RTC was conducted online. Quiboloy is currently detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame in Quezon City following his arrest in the KJC compound in Davao City last Sunday, September 8.
