MANILA, Philippines — Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy’s four co-accused will be transferred to the Pasig City jail, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) spokesperson Jayrex Bustinera said on Friday.
Quiboloy, and four of his subordinates, Jackielyn Roy, Ingrid Canada, Cresente Canada, and Sylvia Cemanes, pleaded not guilty to human trafficking during their arraignment before the Pasig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 159.
Bustinera said the BJMP had already received the Pasig RTC commitment order ordering the transfer of the four suspects.
Bustinera said in a statement, however, that “as of this time, the co-accused of Mr. Quiboloy is not yet in the BJMP custody.”
“The BJMP is prepared and on standby as of this time,” he said.
Quiboloy will remain at the PNP Custodial Center.
Quiboloy and the four co-accused were arrested last September 8 at the KJC Compound in Davao City and were flown and detained at the PNP Custodial Center in Quezon City.
Another suspect, Paulene Canada, was arrested in July and was detained at the Pasig City Jail.
