Abra vice mayor survives gun attack
BAGUIO CITY — Vice Mayor Noel Menor Bisares of Pidigan town, Abra, narrowly escaped death on Thursday, Sept. 12, after he was shot by two unidentified gunmen inside his hardware store, authorities said.
According to the initial police investigation, two gunmen on a motorcycle stopped in front of the establishment and fired multiple shots at him.
The suspects immediately fled to an unknown direction.
Bisares suffered gunshot wounds to his right shoulder and arm.
His family rushed him to Northside Hospital in Bantay, Ilocos Sur, for treatment.
