MANILA, Philippines — Several areas in Luzon declared suspension of face-to-face classes on Friday, Sept. 6, due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon, or habagat.

While Super Typhoon Yagi (formerly Tropical Storm Enteng) is already out of the country, it still enhances the habagat, bringing rains over most parts of Luzon.
The inclement weather prompted the class suspensions in many areas for the entire week.
