MANILA, Philippines — Alarm was raised in Marikina River anew amid continuous rains due to southwest monsoon or habagat enhanced by Severe Tropical Storm Enteng, the local government said early Wednesday morning.

Marikina Public Information Office raised the first alarm at 1 a.m. after the water reached 15 meters.

This developed as Metro Manila and four other areas saw heavy rainfall, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)’s 12:15 a.m. report.
