Cavite governor suspends classes for Monday due to TD Enteng

LUCENA CITY – Governor Jonvic Remulla declared the suspension of classes for all levels in public and private schools in Cavite province on Monday, September 2, due to tropical depression Enteng.

Remulla made the announcement on his Facebook page after a meeting with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Sunday, September 1.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), placed many areas in Luzon and Visayas under heavy rainfall and wind signal warnings as the storm slightly intensified on Sunday afternoon.

In its 2 p.m. bulletin, Pagasa said Enteng maintained its strength as it moves northwestward.

It was located at 110 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar and sustained winds of 45 kilometer per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 55 kph.
