LUCENA CITY — Police confiscated more than P816,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) from four suspected drug traffickers who were arrested on Wednesday in buy-bust operations in Batangas and Rizal provinces.

The Police Regional Office 4A (PRO-4A) on Thursday, Aug. 29, reported that anti-illegal drugs operatives in Lipa City, Batangas, arrested “Jepong” at 8:05 p.m. in Barangay 3 in Lipa City.

The suspect was caught allegedly with 14 sachets of meth weighing 98.3 grams worth more than P666,604.

In Tanay, Rizal, drug enforcers arrested “Willy” and “Jehu” in an operation at E. Rodriguez Street in Barangay Tandang Kutyo around 8 p.m. The suspects were found with four sachets of shabu worth P102,000.

In Taytay town, policemen arrested “Ace” in an operation in Barangay Muzon at 11:50 p.m. He yielded shabu worth P47,600.

The police in Lipa City and Tanay also confiscated two mobile phones to be checked for records of drug transactions.

Jepong is classified as a high-value individual in the illegal drug trade, while the three other suspects are street-level pushers.

They are detained and are facing complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
