POLICE urged the parents of the 11-year-old boy who  shot and wounded  a 13-year-old playmate to surrender the child lest charges of obstruction of  justice will be filed against them.

The boys  were playing in a billiard hall in barangay Pasil when the accident occurred last Saturday afternoon.

The young shooter was  last seen crying and riding in the backseat of a  motorcycle driven by  his father.

In a TV interview, the boy’s mother said her son came to her crying and saying that he had done something wrong.

The mother, who didn’t know the whereabouts of her son and husband, said she consoled her son and told him that he won’t be jailed since he was just a child. Police said witnesses saw the boy pull the trigger three times, with the third tug causing the gun to fire.  The  gunshot victim is in stable condition at the Cebu City Medical Center ./correspondent chito aragon
