Elderly drug pusher arrested again in Lucena City

LUCENA CITY — A 67-year-old street pusher with a previous drug case, was arrested again in a buy-bust operation Monday in this city.

Lieutenant Colonel Dennis de Guzman, Lucena City police chief, reported on Tuesday, Aug. 27, that members of the drug enforcement unit apprehended “Renato” after he sold shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover officer in Barangay Marketview around 4:30 p.m.

Renato was found in possession of three plastic sachets of meth worth P61,200 in the street market.

The police said Renato had a previous drug case but did not provide further information.

The report tagged the suspect as a street-level pusher.

He has been detained and is facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
