Eli Global squeaks past Cebu Global
RYAN Zear Lauro exploded for a season-high 36 points and dropped two go-ahead freethrows in the final 1.8 seconds to lift the Eli Global Underdogs to a thrilling 70-68 win over the Cebu Global Warriors last Sunday in the 2012 Sun Cellular E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
Lauro was hot throughout the game, knocking in six triples as the Underdogs finally logged their first victory after absorbing three straight losses.
Kenlord Go Long was also brilliant from the floor, firing eight three-pointers to finish with 32 points but Cebu Global still could not come up with a win and dropped to 0-2 (win-loss).
