PNP likely to find Quiboloy bunker entrance soon, detects ‘sign of life’
The entrance of the underground bunker of the compound of embattled Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is likely to be found soon, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said on Monday.
Fajardo said the authorities’ ground-penetrating radar is detecting “signs of life” in an underground area spanning 20-30 meters.
PH logs 2 more cases of mpox
Two more cases of mpox (formerly monkeypox) were reported in the country, the Department of Health (DOH) said on Monday.
The DOH said the new cases were detected in Metro Manila. A 37-year-old male and a 32-year-old male have MPXV Clade II, the milder form of the mpox virus.
Makabayan unveils 10-man senatorial slate
The Makabayan Coalition on Monday added three more names to its senatorial slate for the 2025 polls, increasing the number of candidates from seven to 10.
During a program at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila, the coalition revealed that Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (Piston) chairman Mody Floranda, Urban poor group Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) member Mimi Doringo, and Jocelyn Andamo from Filipino Nurses United are now included in its senatorial lineup.
