MANILA, Philippines — An 11th-grade student was arrested after he was caught carrying over P1 million worth of suspected crystal meth, locally known as shabu, during a buy-bust operation in Manila on Tuesday, according to police.

In a report on Wednesday, the Manila Police District (MPD) identified the student as Mark Bullet Dela Rosa, who was collared by authorities along Barangay 463, Zone 46 in Sampaloc around 6:40 a.m.

Police said the suspect was caught selling one small sachet containing suspected shabu. One of MPD’s operatives posed as a buyer and caught Dela Rosa in the act.

Confiscated from him were two small sachets containing the narcotics and two larger plastic sachets with suspected shabu weighing more or less 150 grams, amounting to P1,020,000.

Dela Rosa is now under police custody and will face complaints for violating Section 5 and Section 11 of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
