MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) resumed full operations on Tuesday morning after it was partially suspended Monday evening to allow restoration works.

The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said that as of 7 a.m. on August 20, all trains and stations from Recto to Antipolo and vice versa are operational.

“Balik na sa full line operations ang LRT-Line 2 matapos maisagawa ang repair ng nasirang catenary. Ang mga biyahe ng tren ay mula istasyon ng Antipolo hanggang Recto at pabalik,” the LRTA said in a Facebook post.

(The LRT-Line 2 has resumed full line operations after the repair of the damaged catenary. Train services are now operating from Antipolo station to Recto station and back.)

Train operations were partially halted beginning around 8 p.m. on August 19 due to repairs on damaged catenary between two stations.

“Pansamantalang nagpapatupad ng provisionary service ang LRT-2 dahil sa nasirang catenary sa pagitan ng Katipunan at Santolan station. Ang biyahe ng tren ay mula Recto station hanggang Cubao station at pabalik,” the LRTA said Monday.

(The LRT-2 is temporarily implementing a provisional service due to a damaged catenary between Katipunan and Santolan stations. The train’s journey is from Recto station to Cubao station and back.)
