MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) resumed full operations on Tuesday morning after being partially suspended Monday evening to allow restoration works.
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said that as of 7 a.m. on August 20, all trains and stations from Recto to Antipolo and vice versa are operational.
“The LRT Line 2 has resumed full line operations after the repair of the damaged catenary. Train services are now operating from Antipolo station to Recto station and back,” the LRTA said in a Facebook post in Filipino.

Repairs on damaged catenaries between two stations forced a temporary halt to train operations on August 19 around 8 p.m.
“The LRT 2 is temporarily implementing a provisional service due to a damaged catenary between the Katipunan and Santolan stations. The train’s journey is from Recto station to Cubao station and back,” the LRTA said on Monday.
