Manhunt underway for gunmen in slaying of Cagayan driver
TUGUEGARAO CITY — Police are conducting a hot-pursuit operation after the riding-in-tandem shooting of a 55-year-old driver in Centro, Sta. Ana, Cagayan, late Thursday.
Major Ranolfo Gabatin, chief of the Sta. Ana police, on Friday, identified the victim as 55-year-old Erdy Reolalas. The identities of the two gunmen, who were on a motorcycle with no plate number and armed with .45-caliber handguns, remain unknown.
Investigators said Reolalas had just returned from a store, about 100 meters from his home, where he bought food when the assailants fatally shot him. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
