Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte has signed an Ordinance establishing guidelines for the registration of nano-enterprises that will streamline regulatory processes and facilitate easier compliance with local regulations.

Ordinance No. SP-3272, S-2024, introduced by Councilor Candy Medina and Majority Leader Dorothy Delarmente, will also provide nano-enterprises with financial resources and access to vital support that will help them flourish.

“As a way of recognizing the vital role that nano-entrepreneurs play in our local communities, including sari-sari stores, carinderias, and beneficiaries of the Pangkabuhayan QC Assistance Program, we will provide them with the necessary support to thrive,” Belmonte said.

Margie Mejia, head of the QC Business Permit and Licensing Department (BPLD), said the Ordinance is a testament to the city government’s commitment to supporting nano-enterprises amid the challenges.

“In times of crisis, such as natural disasters or public health emergencies, the registration process will help us quickly identify and extend assistance to affected nano-enterprises,” said Mejia.
