Manila cop shot dead

A member of the Manila Police District was shot dead in Malate on Saturday night. Police Officer 1 Anthony de la Cruz, 35, of MPD’s Special Support Unit was reportedly waiting for someone on his motorcycle on Balingit Street when he was shot three times at around 9:30 p.m.

The shooting was heard by a resident of Barangay 711, who rushed to the scene and found De la Cruz already lying on the ground next to his bike.
