3 minor earthquakes logged in 2 Quezon island towns
LUCENA CITY — Three minor earthquakes were recorded on Monday inPatnanungan and Burdeos towns in Quezon province.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that they recorded a magnitude 3.9 tremor with a 10-kilometer depth in Burdeos at 2:32 p.m.
Earlier, Phivolcs detected a magnitude 3.3 tremor at 1:42 p.m. on the same island town.
Patnanungan, another island municipality, experienced a magnitude 2.1 tremor at 2:21 p.m. with a 17 km depth.
The quakes were of tectonic origin caused by sudden movement along faults and plate boundaries.

Patnanungan is another island municipality in the Polillo group of islands.
