Carina exited the country’s area of responsibility on Thursday morning, but a new low-pressure area formed off Southern Mindanao by afternoon, according to the state weather service.

Although Carina continues to move near Southeastern China, it will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon, which is expected to bring heavy rainfall in parts of Luzon.
