MANILA, Philippines — The newly launched Land Transportation Office – National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) website (www.ltoncr.com) caters to vehicle owners for plate issuance, LTO-NCR said on Thursday.

“The website is designed to address the backlog in plate issuance, assisting vehicle owners, especially those who purchased their vehicles second-hand, in easily locating and claiming their plates,” explained NCR Regional Director Roque Verzosa III.

Versoza also added that the project will help reduce congestion in LTO offices since people can now check the status of their plate availability online.

According to Versoza, the key features of the website are:

  • Online Plate Inquiry: Users can search for Replacement Plates (green to white) and New Motor Vehicle/Motorcycle Plates, specifically those paid for at LTO-NCR offices. The white Replacement Plates have standardized plates for all registered motor vehicles in the country, replacing the old green plates since 2015.
  • Delivery Option for Replacement Plates: Clients can choose to have their Replacement Plates delivered to a District/Extension Office nearest to their address or one that is more convenient for them.

More than 10,000 replacement plates were issued, with more than 1,000 plates delivered through website requests since the soft launch of the website from January to July 2024.
