AROUND 1,000 runners travel to the southern part of Cebu to compete in the Kawasan Falls Marathon today in Badian town.
The race route will travel through the neighboring towns of Alegria and Malabuyoc. It will have 21-kilometer and 42k distances.
A special category was put up by organizer Dr. Potenciano “Yong” Larrazabal III dubbed “Run with Donna.” This will be exclusive for female runners who has a targeted finish time of 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Among the noted participants of the race will be Senator Pia Cayetano. She will be joined by other top runners like Madelyn Carter.
There will be no cash prizes to be given to the winners. Instead, Larrazabal will give special prizes to the top 10 runners in each category. All finishers will be given a star-shaped medal. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
