Government work, classes in Metro Manila suspended – Malacañang

MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives suspended its session on Tuesday due to inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon and Typhoon Carina.

Deputy Majority Leader and Batangas 4th District Rep. Lianda Bolilia moved to suspend the session until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, July 24.

Deputy Speaker Roberto Puno approved it.

Earlier at noon, Malacañang suspended work in government and classes at all levels in Metro Manila due to the bad weather.

Work and class suspensions would start at 2 p.m., according to Palace’s Memorandum Circular No. 57 signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
