MANILA, Philippines — Content creator “Boss Toyo” addressed netizens who are questioning his attendance at President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s State of the Nation Address on Monday.

Boss Toyo (of Pinoy Pawnstars online show), or Jayson Luzadas in real life, graced the red carpet at the Batasang Pambansa ahead of Marcos’ Sona.

But netizens were quick to bat an eye his presence at the event.

In a Facebook post, the online personality asked if it is ever not allowed for a content creator to attend the event.

“Bkit bawal po ba ang isang content creator dto? Bawal po ba ang isang tulad ko dito? Bawal ba dahil hndi aq politiko? (Why is a content creator not allowed here? Is someone like me not allowed here? Is it because I am not a politician?)” the caption of his selfie taken inside the Plenary Hall read.

He further claimed that the public were too condescending to him, and he just wanted to listen to what the President would say in his Sona because he is a Filipino who cares about his country.

“Wala ako nkikitang masama kung andito ako or kahit sinong tao andito. Pilipino ako at me paki ako sa bayan ko (I don’t see anything wrong with me being here or anyone else being here. I am Filipino and I care about my country.),” he said.
