Sona 2024: QC suspends private schools classes on Monday
MANILA, Philippines — Classes in all levels in Quezon City private schools are suspended on Monday as President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. is set to deliver his third State of the Nation Address (Sona) at the Batasang Pambansa, the city government announced on Saturday.
“Layon nitong hikayatin ang lahat na makinig sa State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at maiwasang maipit ang publiko sa trapiko,” the city government said.
(This is to encourage everyone to listen to the State of the Nation Address (Sona) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and to keep the public away from traffic congestion.)
‘Brigada Eskwela’ in public schools are also suspended on Monday.
The Philippine National Police will likewise enforce a gun ban in Metro Manila starting on 12:01 a.m. on July 20 (Saturday) until 12:01 a.m. on July 23 (Tuesday).
